    5 SUMMER NIGHT SLEEP TIPS

April 5, 2016 in LIFESTYLE, Uncategorized

    Teami Relax Tea

Teami sent me their amazing Relax Tea (£19.99 from Teami Tea Blends but get 10% off with code FRILLS10) along with their cute and handy Teami Tea Infuser (£5.99), and I’ve been loving them.

    Teami Relax Tea

The infuser fits in any size of tea cup and you pop a teaspoon of the tea leaves into the stainless steel section before letting it infuse in your cup of hot water. When your tea has reached your desired strength, take out the infuser and rest it in the cute little drip tray you get with it. The Teami Relax tea itself is delicious. It’s 100% natural and is a sleep-aid blend of Lavender flower, Chamomile, Lemongrass, orange peel and Valerian Root. When you drink it there’s a lovely strong Lavender scent that instantly relaxes you, and the tea tastes like chamomile tea but a bit more interesting. It’s caffiene-free and contains the added benefits of potassium, calcium and Vitamin B which strengthens the immune system to help prevent colds. If you are on any prescription anti-depressants or anti-anxiety medication, please consult your doctor first about how much (if any) of this tea you can drink, as Valerian Root can cause an interaction.

Now that the nights are getting lighter and warmer, it can be a lot more difficult to get to sleep. I wanted to share with you some tips on how to make sleep come faster on nights like this. Having a warm drink before before bed is very relaxing and this tea blend from Teami is the perfect choice due to its aromatherapy and calming benefits. One pouch will make sround 30 cups.

It would also be really wise to invest in some blackout blinds. Blocking out all sources of light will really help you to sleep faster and for longer. As well as this, a Lumie Wake-Up Light (from £59.95) can help you to wake gradually at your preferred time by slowing introducing light into your room over 15 to 90 minutes.

Make sure you have stopped using any smartphones, tablets or computers at least 30 minutes before bed, as the specific type of light that these emit can keep you awake. Reading in bed is a great idea instead, but choose something which is an easy read so that you aren’t making your brain work hard when you are wanting it to switch off.

Finally, you are said to sleep better in a cool room but a warm bed. Get a fan into your bedroom and open a window, but make sure you are nice and cosy under the covers.

Have you tried the Teami Relax Tea before?
