I saw Becky Sheeran & Fleur de Force do this tag on YouTube, and as bedtime is my favourite time of the day, I wanted to give it a go too…
What are you favourite pyjamas?
Any soft, cotton, cosy ones. Can’t be doing with silk or flimsy ones. Full arms and full legs are the best.
Current bedtime reading?
I love my monthly Audible subscription, as I prefer listening to an unabridged audio book at bedtime. I’ve just finished The Girl On The Train, and am currently listening to Jenny Colgan’s The Good, The Bad & The Dumped. It’s usually chick-lit; but I’m getting into psychological thrillers too now. When I’ve finished my monthly audio book, I’ll just read at bedtime. I have Before I Go To Sleep waiting in the wings on my Kindle.
What is on your bedside table?
A current sleepy-scented candle that I’m burning- at the moment it’s Shearer Candles’ Lavender & Neroli, my aroma diffuser, a pen, a silk Matthew Williamson eye mask (now only £3 from £10), my skincare routine box…and usually a glass of Diet Coke (terrible, I know).
Favourite sleepy scent?
Lavender every time, or more specifically, I love burning the Isle of Skye Candle Company Sleep Sensation candle– it smells amazing!
What is your usual bedtime & wakeup time?
I go to bed early, and listen to an audiobook or read for an hour. I am usually in bed by 9PM. I wake every morning around 6.30AM, and do some work in bed until I get up around 8AM.
Top 3 bedtime products?
The Body Shop Drops of Youth Bouncy Sleeping Mask (could I go on about this amazing product any more?!- see review here), Temple Spa Repose Resting Cream (lavender scented and luxurious moisturiser) and Origins Peace of Mind (enhale for calmness).
Your most common sleeping position?
Every night, I start on my side, with one arm by my side, and one harm under the pillow under my head. Every morning I wake up lying on my front, with my arms above my head.
Any strange bed time routines?
I get quite bad chills, so I often need to go to sleep with a hot water bottle between my thighs- it’s the only way to heat me through. I also often play hypnosis recordings as I try to drift off.
Are you big spoon or little spoon?
Don’t touch me when I’m trying to sleep!
