I have been looking for a cream metallic eyeshadow palette like this for a long time, since I lost my Sleek MakeUP Molten Metal eyeshadow duo. I’m not a fan of Illamasqua, so I wasn’t keen on their metallic quad. This Chrome palette from Models Own is a brand new release, and I love it.

First of all, let’s just take a moment to admire the gorgeous rose gold packaging. I adore how pretty, slim and compact it is. The palette contains 6 generous-sized shades; which for £5.99 (from ASOS) is excellent value. 

The shadows all have a liquid metal effect, and are really easy to blend. I’m not that keen on the first white-silver shade as it isn’t very pigmented, and can look quite greasy on the skin. However, the other shades (especially the bronze-toned shadows) are beautiful and you only need to use a little to get great colour pay-off. I find these really long-lasting on my lids, and love that they apply really smoothly. They worked great as eye-liners on the bottom lash line too.

I think that anyone who is a fan of metallic shades needs this palette in their lives. It creates much more of a visual impact than any powder shadows I’ve tried.
