I watch Zoe Sugg aka Zoella and Tanya Burr all the time on YouTube, so I’m always excited to check out the new releases from their beauty brands Zoella Beauty and Tanya Burr Cosmetics. In the last month they have brought out lots of new products, and I love them all.
The latest collection from Zoella Beauty, Sweet Inspirations, is the best yet I think. The packaging is exquisite and has an Art Deco feel, and the scent is all the macaroon and vanilla goodness you can imagine. I’ve been trying out three of the products from the range. The Zoella Beauty Le Fizz Fragranced Bath Fizzer (£5 from Feel Unique) smells so sweet and indulgent, and it’s such good value too as it lasts you for multiple baths. You break off about four squares from the bar and crumble them under your running tap to fill your tub with fragrance.
The Zoella Beauty Double Créme Body Lotion (£5 from Feel Unique) feels very luxurious, thick and creamy – which isn’t all that common a find in budget products. It smells amazing too – it will make you want to eat lots of cake. I’ve been applying this all over my body when I get out of the bath or shower and it has been keeping my skin soft and smooth.
Finally from Zoella Beauty, I’ve been really enjoying the Bath Latte Bath & Shower Milk (£6 from Feel Unique), which comes in super-cute milk bottle-style packaging. This bath milk, which you pour some under a running tap, not only has that same amazing scent at the other products, but it’s enriched with sweet almond oil, cacao and honey to nourish and soften your skin too. This is such a nice and enjoyable product to use, and that’s what baths should be about.
Moving onto the latest Tanya Burr collection Soft Luxe, I’ve been loving the new matte nail polishes which come in pretty frosted glass bottles. The finish on these is really nice, the brushes are wide and apply the polish really well and the formula of the polish itself is creamy, opaque and long-lasting. The two shades I have are Soft Pyjamas and Piggy Bank (£4.99 from Feel Unique) – a soft mauve and a bubblegum pink.
Her new matte lipsticks are also really nice and are very comfortable to wear – not drying, which is great. I have the Tanya Burr Cosmetics Soft Luxe Matte Lip in Puppy Paws (£5.99 from Feel Unique) and these are also in the same pretty frosted packaging. These have such a quality finish too – they are highly pigmented, long-wearing and not at all patchy. I love this bright pink shade.
Finally, I’ve been trying out both of her new eyeshadow palettes. I hate the cheap cardboard packaging on these, but I understand that they need to do this to keep the costs down so that everything goes into making the shadows themselves amazing. It might just look a bit better in thinner and sleeker packaging rather than these chunky squares. The four shadows in each palette are great quality and they have cute little stars embossed onto them. The first of the palettes is the Enchanted Dream Eyeshadow Palette (£6 from Feel Unique) and this is a mix of gold, pink and purple-toned shadows. There is a pretty shimmery champagne, a shimmery light gold, a dusky matte pink (that’s a lot less pink swatched that it looks in the pan) and a dark matte black-purple (that’s a lot darker and less purple that it is in the pan) – a good selection of shadows to create a pretty daytime smokey eye.
The second palette is the Birthday Suit Eyeshadow Palette (£6 from Feel Unique) is a mix of brown-toned nudes. There’s a shimmery cream, a matte beige, a shimmery warm-toned brown and a dark matte brown. If you love a brown eye look, you should definitely pick this up. I do feel that Enchanted Dreams is the most wearable of the two palettes for most people however. I am really impressed though by the pigmentation and blendability of all the shadows and there isn’t a whole lot of fallout either.
Have you tried any of these new products?
