MOI-MEME AUTUMN 2016 HYGGE BOX REVIEW

October 25, 2016 in LIFESTYLE, Uncategorized

    Moi-Même Autumn 2016 Hygge Box

I hadn’t heard of the Moi-Même Box until they kindly asked me if I wanted to experience receiving one myself. These quarterly lifestyle boxes are full of beautiful beauty, fashion and lifestyle items that are tailored to your favourite colours, scents and skin type. These boxes are such a great gift to buy for yourself, for some much-needed ‘me time’.

Unfortunately the Moi-Même Autumn 2016 Hygge Box* (£49.95 from Moi-Même) is now sold out, but you can subscribe up until 31st December 2016 to receive the January box which will be full of equally as amazing items. Some of the products in the Autumn box will be available to buy individually in the Moi-Même shop at their full retail price too, if something in particular takes your fancy from this box.

    Edblad Monaco Bracelet

Each Moi-Même Box contains at least five full-size items and I love everything in the Autumn 2016 box. The theme of this box is Hygge – a big part of Danish culture. It doesn’t translate to a single word, but rather embodies several everyday living pleasures that we love, such as relaxing with friends or chilling with a scented candle. The first item that I got in my box is a beautiful gold-plated circle bracelet – the Edblad Monaco Bracelet (£26) is a really delicate and pretty piece.

    Yawn sleepwear

Next, there is the most amazing pair of cosy cashmere and merino wool socks – the Yawn Cosy Sleep Socks (£18) come in such a relaxing sky blue and grey colour way and are so soft. Yawn also included one of their Lavender Bags (£5) in the box too – this little cotton pouch is filled with fragrant lavender and is tied with a slogan ribbon with cute phrases such as ‘pyjama time’ and ‘phone off, kettle on’. I love this brand so much now, so i’m definitely going to be checking out their website.

The Bath Candle Company Vanilla Candle

Also in the box is a scented candle from the The Bath Candle Company (£25). I got the Vanilla scent which I was so happy about (you can actually swap scents/items after receiving your box if you didn’t get the one you would have preferred). The scent of this is SO strong and has a very slight hint of cinnamon to me too. It’s like a ‘baking’ scent and so it’s perfect for the festive season.

Finally, there are two skincare items in the box from Danish brand Nuori. These are really unique as they are made from very fresh ingredients, so they have a date on them that you need to start using them by and a date that you need to stop using them by. There’s a sample of their Vital Eye Cream (one third of full-size and worth over £15) and a full-size Vital Foaming Cleanser (£25). Before the words ‘foaming cleanser’ scares you away, I don’t think that is an accurate name for it. It doesn’t actually foam on your face (and doesn’t contain any sulphates or other nasty ingredients) – it actually is dispensed like a foam from the pump and when you rub it into your face it turns into a luxurious cream. I think it’s actually the opposite of what we would term a ‘foaming cleanser’. This fruit enzyme complex cleanser is so enjoyable to use and leaves your skin feeling really soft and clean.

Have you had a Moi-Même box before?

This post contains press samples, but all opinions are my own.
