This week I’ve been trying out the foil face mask from Skin Republic. Foil masks are becoming increasingly popular, as they help your skin to absorb more of the mask’s ingredients.
The concept behind foil face masks are that they stop the active ingredients in the mask from evaporating and drying up into the air. By having a foil side facing outward on the sheet mask, it is locking those ingredients into the mask; helping your skin to drink up more, and do it faster too. You’ll have noticed with regular sheet masks, that they dry out on your face – you don’t get this with foil masks, so the ingredients that the mask is infused with are able to work better, quicker and for longer on your skin.
I absolutely love the Skin Republic Youthfoil Foil Face Sheet Mask (£8.99 from Graftons Beauty). It comes in two halves – one for the eye area, and one for the mouth area. This allows you to get a better and closer fit to the contours of your face. My skin feels so incredibly soft, plump and hydrated after using this mask, and I can still feel that hydration boost days later.
This mask is designed to be hydrating and anti-ageing. It’s infused with Hyaluronic Acid and locks moisture into your skin. The anti-ageing aspect the packet mentions, comes from the fact that the increase in moisture in your skin will help to plump out fine lines and wrinkles, as well as give you a youthful radiance. The mask is also infused with Collagen, which helps your skin to maintain its elasticity and strength. The serum that the mask is infused with, also contains antioxidents (Vitamin E) to help protect your skin from environmental agressors.
I think this is a great mask, that’s definitely worth the money as it improves the look and feel of your skin for days. Have you tried it yet?
