My favourite seasons of the year are autumn and winter, so I especially look forward to sharing with you all the products i’ve been loving during those months. This is my autumn favourites post, and it features everything from skincare, to boots and doormats. I hope you discover something new to enjoy when you’re getting cosy this season.Murad Replenishing Multi Acid Peel*** – £48, Murad
This is a bi-phase exfoliating acid toner, so you need to give it a good shake before dispensing some out onto a cotton pad to wipe over your face. As well as the resurfacing acids, it also contains skin nourishing and soothing omega fatty acids; so it doesn’t feel as harsh as some other acid toners. It does it’s job well however!. It contains exfoliating Glycolic, Lactic and Malic AHA Acids to ger rid of dead skin cells, smooth the texture of your skin and even out your skin tone. It also has BHA Salicylic Acid to combat excess oil, treat breakouts and clean out your pores. The final acid is the new Tranexamic Acid, making this product very scientific and unique. This acid is a bio-engineered amino acid to brighten the skin and target pigmentation. Finally, in addition to the soothing lipids/omega fatty acids, there is also Holy Basil in this product, which is an antioxidant and skin soother. This is a great product and i’ve been really pleased with how it improves my skin radiance, evens out my skin texture and makes it look healthy and fresh.Murad Prebiotic 3-in-1 Multi Mist*** – £30, Murad
I do love a good mist! This one has a light and even spray to lightly hydrate your skin and give it a dose of rebalancing prebiotics. Skin has an important microbiome (a collection friendly and beneficial microorganisms i.e. good bacteria) that help to keep your skin hydrated and balanced. This mist is like giving your skin good food to eat to help it perform at its best – locking in moisture and reinforce that moisture barrier. As well as these hydrating and barrier-boosting functions, this mist also primes the skin for makeup and sets makeup with the help of its Bipolymer complex which creates an invisable and breathable ‘second skin’ on your skin to keep that makeup in place for longer.Alpha H Vitamin C Paste with L-Ascorbic Acid – £40, Cult Beauty
This is so different to all of the other vitamin C products that I have tried before, and I love it. It’s a thick, balm-like paste as it contains shea butter to counteract some of the harshness of the vitamin C, moisturise your skin and maintain your skin’s barrier functions. The vitamin C in this product is a powerful 10% L-Ascorbic Acid. This is a strong, pure type of vitamin C as it gets to work immediately – your skin doesn’t have to convert it, like it would with a lesser vitamin C derivative. It’s also a stable way to deliver vitamin C as its waterless, stopping the vitamin C from oxidising. This paste has so many benefits – it stimulates collagen production, targets pigmentation and uneven skin tone, and acts as an antioxidant against environmental agressors.Huda Beauty Rose Gold Remastered Eyeshadow Palette – £56, Cult Beauty
This is such a beautiful palette, and all 18-shades are so pigmented, smooth and easy to blend. It’s nearly all warm shades, so if this isn’t your bag, this isn’t a palette for you. I love warm eyeshadow shades, especially in autumn, and i’ve been using this palette for a couple of months now. My favourite shades are all the metallic ones as these are buttery soft and super pigmented in just one swipe. They have such a finely-milled shimmer and have real staying power. Trust Fund, Fling and Dubai (left to right) are my most-worn shades.Decleor Green Mandarin Sun-Kissed Cream*** – £58, Decleor
This is a product that first looked really daunting to me because I have such pale skin; but i’m so glad I tried it. It’s a 97% natural moisturiser that has a skin tone-adapting tint to warm up your complexion and give you that ‘sun-kissed’ look. There is beta-carotene and light natural pigments to absorb into the skin and adapt to your natural skin tone to just give you a little hint of a glow. It smells very citrusy (from the antioxidant green mandarin oil) and is so hydrating – it contains hyaluronic acid to plump the skin. It has real anti-ageing benefits too – oxidisation is responsible for 80% of skin ageing, so having such a powerful antioxidant in there stops your skin being attacked by environmental agressors. A great pre-makeup or ‘no makeup day’ moisturiser.
Decleor Lavande Fine Baume de Nuit*** – part of £50 set, Decleor
This 100% natural balm with lavender essential oils, is a relaxing treat for your senses and a conditioning and softening one for your skin. I actually use this as a sleep aid – a night-time cuticle balm or I apply some around my nose area. I also apply it to any patches of dry skin – I am prone to this on my eyelids. It smells divine, sinks into the skin and leaves your skin feeling so soft and smooth.Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear Nude*** – £33.50, Lancome
This is a lovely lightweight, light coverage foundation. Great for the colder months of the year when I want to switch from a CC cream to something with slightly more coverage. This still allows my skin to breath, and you can still see my skin and my freckles through it. It applies evenly and wears off evenly, so it looks really natural. I love that it has a light SPF for added protection. It does have a matte finish but if I prep my skin right, I can get that glow to shine through.Leighton Denny Crystal Top Coat – £12, M&S
Leighton Denny Slick Tips Pen – £12, Leighton Denny
I am constantly trying to repair my nails and fingertips at the moment, as i’ve got into a terrible habit of biting my nails and skin off during the night until they bleed. I do this when i’m half sleeping and I haven’t thought of a good way to stop it yet – I would only take off a pair of gloves if I tried that. These two Leighton Denny products really speed up the process of healing and moisturising my nails and fingertips. The cuticle pen is a hydrating oil that I apply multiple times daily. I also find that the clear gloss helps to make my nails look a bit healthier and less damaged. Having this on top of my nails also helps to protect them as they strengthen and grow. A great duo!
Sara Miller Assorted Chelsea Cake Plates Set of 4 – £42.50, Sara Miller
These plates are so pretty! I can’t wait to bring them out the next time I have guests round. They are the perfect size for cake, or to use as cheese plates. I defintiely want some of Sara Miller’s other designs now too, as they feel such good quality.giftpup Personalised Coir Doormat*** – £26.99, giftpup.com
I love this thick, heavy, quality doormat. You can have two lines of text added to it, but I chose just to get David and I’s initals. I love it so much and think it’s so cute. This would make a lovely gift for new homeowners or as an engagement present. Great value too!Made by Coopers Happy Atmosphere Mist – £13.50, Made by Coopers
This is a room mist that I’ve been enjoying using in the kitchen when we have been cooking something with spices or scents that linger. This bright, citrusy lime, basil and clementine spray really counteracts odours and makes your kitchen smell so fresh and clean. It’s vegan and handmade too – a great way to support a small British business.Hotter Shoes Black Rapid Boots*** – £85.00, Hotter Shoes
These zip and lace-up boots have double fastenings and look really cool. There is also duo textures – suede and snake print. These are sturdy, quality boots that keep out the cold and wet weather. They have soles that will stop you slipping on icy pavements too. These are more of a practical item; but they are aesthetically-pleasing too. If you are looking for a solid, reliable and incredibly comfortable pair of casual boots for autumn and winter, these are a great pick. I’m so happy with mine!
